Fitting a workout in to our daily routine can be a challenge. With time constraints and family obligations, taking care of ourselves gets pushed to the bottom of our lists. We lose site of the fact that without our health, we provide no value to our families. We need to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of our loved ones. It is vital that we take the time to nourish our bodies and de-stress from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Starting a new routine is probably where the challenge lies. But, once you commit to setting the time aside for yourself, you will reap the rewards of the opportunity to recharge your body and your mind.

I have found yoga to be a wonderful way to reconnect to my body. The regular practice of yoga not only takes you to a place of mental clarity, but it strengthens your body and develops muscle you probably have been ignoring. There are different levels of yoga. From power yoga to hot yoga, there is something for everyone. And, you can practice anywhere. You don’t have to join a fancy studio to benefit. You can practice right in the comfort of your own home if you prefer. Men and women can both benefit from practicing yoga.

When you look at someone who regularly practices yoga, you see a toned body and calm soul. These are benefits that prove to be important for us all. Taking care of our spirits is just as important as taking care of our bodies. A good exercise regime is just as vital as good nutrition. The yoga studio that I frequent also offers a juice bar. I go to a class and afterward enjoy a fresh glass of vegetable juice to further nourish my cells.  Vegetable juice is packed with nutrition and helps your body to cleanse, another key to good health. Taking the first step toward taking better care of yourself may prove to be difficult. But consider that by taking up an exercise regime such as yoga and complimenting it with some freshly pressed veggie juices, you are taking strides to build your health and well being. This is the ultimate mind-body connection. Your loved ones will thank you when they reap the rewards of the more balanced you.
